What level of painting experience is this workshop for?

The workshop is open to painters at a range of levels and is especially well suited to intermediate and advanced painters who already have a painting practice and want to develop their work further.

You should be comfortable working independently on your paintings for portions of the day. I'll provide exercises, demonstrations, individual feedback, and plenty of one-on-one guidance throughout the workshop.

What mediums can I work in?

You are welcome to work in acrylic or oil.

A generous selection of shared acrylic paints will be available in the studio, along with some painting surfaces and other shared materials. If you work in oils, you'll need to bring your own paints and supplies.

A detailed materials list will be sent to you well before the workshop.

Where will we be painting?

We'll be working in an exceptional, spacious studio in Manhattan, with plenty of room to spread out and work.

Full studio details and directions will be provided to enrolled participants before the workshop.

Where should I stay?

Participants arrange their own accommodations, giving you the flexibility to choose the location and price point that work best for you.

I'll provide hotel recommendations and suggestions for convenient areas to stay.

Is transportation included?

Participants are responsible for getting to and from the studio each day. I'll provide directions and practical information about getting around New York before the workshop.

What about lunch?

A catered lunch is included each studio day. We'll eat together at the studio, giving us time to relax, talk, and recharge before returning to our paintings.

Please let me know in advance about any dietary restrictions or food allergies.

Registration & Cancellation Policy

Your place in the workshop is confirmed once registration and payment have been received in full.

A minimum of six participants is required for the workshop to take place. If minimum enrollment has not been reached 60 days before the workshop begins, I reserve the right to cancel the workshop. If I cancel the workshop for this or any other reason, all workshop tuition paid to me will be refunded in full.

Because participants will be making their own travel arrangements, I strongly recommend waiting until the workshop is confirmed before making non-refundable travel or accommodation bookings.

If you need to cancel

Cancellations must be made in writing.

If you cancel more than 30 days before the first day of the workshop, your workshop fee will be refunded, minus any payment processing fees incurred.

If you cancel 30 days or less before the workshop begins, workshop fees are non-refundable. If I am able to fill your place with another participant, I will refund your workshop fee minus any payment processing fees incurred.

There are no refunds or credits once the workshop has begun, and refunds, credits, or make-up sessions cannot be provided for missed workshop days.

Travel Insurance

I strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers workshop cancellation or interruption, illness, travel delays, airfare, accommodations, and other non-refundable travel expenses.

If I have to cancel the workshop, I will refund the workshop tuition you have paid to me in full. I cannot reimburse airfare, accommodations, transportation, or other travel-related expenses.

Please review the terms of any travel insurance policy carefully to make sure it provides the coverage you need.

What happens after I enroll?

You'll receive additional information as we get closer to the workshop, including the materials list, studio details, hotel recommendations, and practical information to help you plan your time in New York.
